Protein doesn’t get stored as fat the way carbs and fat do…

The leanest people in America eat almost half of their calories from protein. Whereas the most obese people in America eat 10-12% of their calories from protein.

Protein takes a LOT of calories to digest and absorb. So if you eat 600+ calories a day of protein like I do, you use 200 calories just by eating it (That's a 2 mile run!).

Optimal protein in the diet can increase muscle mass without exercise. Muscle increases metabolic rate and makes weight loss easier.

Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS) is the process of building lean muscle. It is triggered by a specific amount and type of amino acids. Diet alone can build muscle!

Protein is the most satiating (filling) nutrient. It is the key to reducing hunger and cravings.

Protein consumption is essential to human survival so we have an internal drive for it and will continue to send out hunger signals until we get enough.

So if you eat 500 calories of pasta or cookies, your body will still want more food because you haven't fed it protein.

If you get your protein first, your body will feel so satisfied, that it won't even want the rice, dessert or bread most of the time.

If you make one change to your diet, do this.
