The Truth Is, You Aren’t Doing Anything Wrong
You want to look and feel different in your body.
You think you need motivation and willpower to change...
So you try to control the behaviour.
But that only works for a hot minute.
As soon as it stops working, failing is inevitable.
Then you blame yourself, your body, your age, your kids’ pizza and your total lack of self-control and discipline.
But nothing is wrong with you. It's not your fault.
You just haven't been taught how to create real change.
Here is a non-food example to give you an objective view...
If you're broke and want to make more money. You might try to get another job or work overtime (trying to use motivation and willpower to strong-arm the result).
BUT
Eventually, you'll burn out because it's not sustainable long term.
So instead…
Figure out why you're not making money already.
Maybe you have a belief that...
🙈 People who make lots of money are dishonest or bad
🙈 Making money requires sacrificing your freedom
🙈 Making money requires degrees/experience you don't have
🙈 Making money is too much work
🙈 You don't know how to make more money
And these beliefs may even be unconscious but they create the lens with which you view money making.
And your beliefs are what drive your behaviours.
Until we unravel these beliefs, the behaviour will stay the same and so will the results.
And trying to do things differently will feel so hard because it is not in alignment with your deeper beliefs.
So you wait to feel "motivated" and go back to trying to control the behaviour with willpower then give up because it's not working
And the cycle to nowhere goes on and on and on.
This is exactly what happens with food and exercise.
If you have tried to change the way you eat and exercise and have struggled over and over, there is a deeper belief that is running the show and until you unravel it, it will feel so hard.
This is the work I do with my clients.
One of the first things we do is figure out your limiting beliefs so changing your habits feels 1000x easier.
